Terms & Conditions

Quantities

Our fabric is measured and sold by the quarter metre.  To buy more than this, select the appropriate multiples - for example 4 for a metre.  Multiple quantities will be cut in a continuous length.   Please note, the level of stock shown may include some cut goods: for example, '7' items in stock may mean there is a 1.75m length or a 1.5m length and a cut fat quarter.  If it is important to you to receive (as in this example) 1.75m in a continuous length please verify with us beforehand.  Additionally, not all stock is listed on the website.  This is to cover some that may be sold in bundles or where payment through a Paypal invoice has been requested.  This means that we often have more than is listed.  If you are looking for more than is shown, please contact us and we will measure for you!

Payments

All prices are shown inclusive of VAT.  Payments are taken with Paypal and Stripe which means we do not hold your credit card details.

Shipping

We aim to ship all orders placed before 9.30 on the same day, except for weekends (unless specifically requested).  Parcels are sent using Royal Mail 1st Class other than parcels to Ireland.  If you believe your parcel has been lost, please contact us.  However, Royal Mail does not consider a parcel to be lost unless it has been missing for 15 days in the UK, so we may not be able to replace your order until this amount of time is up.

A set fee of £4.50 is charged for orders to Europe.  Should postage for your order exceed this by a substantial sum, we will contact you regarding the additional charges before continuing with the order.

The set fee of £4.50 will apply to all parcels within Ireland, regardless of size.  If postage is substantially less, the difference will be refunded.

At the moment, it is not possible to charge a fair, set rate beyond Europe.  We will post overseas on request.  Please contact us with the destination and potential order and we will reply with the postage charges.  On agreement, a Paypal invoice will be sent and the order will be posted once the invoice is paid.

Pre-orders

A reservation fee is charged for each pre-order.  If you change your mind before the fabric arrives in store we will refund the reservation fee.  Once the fabric has arrived in store the reservation fee can no longer be refunded.  We will send a Paypal invoice for the remaining balance.  If not paid after a week, we will send an email to remind you.  If we do not hear from you within the following week, the fabric stock will be returned to the website and the pre-order will be void.  We are happy to try to accommodate you where possible - if you need to split the remaining balance over a number of weeks this is no problem; understandably the fabric will not be shipped until full payment has been received.

Often, a postage charge will apply to a pre-order.  Should the value of your pre-order at full price exceed £30, the postage charge will be refunded.  For example: you reserve a bundle of 20 fat quarters.  The reservation fee is £10.  The postage charge is £1.50.  Once the fabric arrives, we will send an invoice for the remaining balance minus the £1.50 postage charge.

If your order includes both pre-orders and in stock items, these will be considered separately for the purpose of posting to see if either or both will incur a postage charge.

Images/Descriptions

We try to have accurate images for all our products - where possible the images of fabrics are taken from the manufacturer's/distributor's own website.  While we try to provide full details, we will happily answer any further questions or match fabrics etc for you.  Where possible, the names on the fabrics are those chosen by the designers/manufacturers.

Cancellations and returns

We reserve the right to cancel an order.  In this case, we will refund the full sum of the amount cancelled.

We will not refund returns for cut goods unless previously agreed.  You may return items if they are not to your satisfaction or are damaged in transit.  We will reimburse shipping costs for damaged items and replace them cost-free.  If you are returning an item for another reason, you will be liable for all shipping costs and you will be reimbursed with shop credit.
